Staff DV Engineer

Role Overview: 

We are looking for a Staff DV Engineer to define and drive the verification strategy for our most complex silicon projects. At 10xEngineers, verification is a fundamental pillar of our design philosophy. You will be responsible for architecting scalable UVM-based environments and implementing advanced methodologies (Formal, Emulation, Performance Verification) to ensure the functional integrity of cutting-edge RISC-V and AI-centric hardware.

Responsibilities:

• Verification Architecture: Architect and implement comprehensive, constrained-random verification environments from scratch using UVM/SystemVerilog.

• Methodology Leadership: Drive the adoption of advanced verification techniques, including Formal Verification, Assertion-Based Verification (ABV), and hardware-software co-verification.

• Test Planning: Own the verification plan for complex subsystems, ensuring 100% functional and code coverage through meticulous testcase development.

• Tooling & Automation: Enhance verification productivity by developing internal scripts (Python/TCL) and optimizing regression workflows.

• Technical Influence: Collaborate closely with the design team to influence microarchitecture for better testability and observability.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years in Design Verification, focusing on high-complexity IP or SoC verification.

• Core Skills: Expert-level proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.

• Specialization: Experience verifying RISC-V processors, cache-coherent interconnects, or complex DMA engines.

• Advanced Verification: Hands-on experience with Formal Verification tools (e.g., JasperGold) or emulation platforms is highly desirable.

• Education: BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Location & Mobility: 

This is a Hybrid role with global flexibility:

• For EU-based candidates: You may be based out of our Barcelona office (valid EU work authorization required), with a requirement to spend 3–4 months per year at our Lahore headquarters to lead and mentor the core verification team.

• For Pakistan-based candidates: The role is primarily located in Lahore. Opportunities for relocation to our Barcelona hub may be considered based on business needs and individual performance.
