Senior Mobile Developer (Native iOS) – Biomedical Wearable
--10xEngineers--
Type: Full‑time, permanent (part‑time, on‑site considered for an exceptional portfolio)
Who we are
10xEngineers is a deep‑tech company working across semiconductors and IoT industry, with a team of ~120 engineers and offices in Lahore, San Diego, and Barcelona. One of our teams is building a biomedical wearable product – a connected health device with companion native iOS and Android apps that have been in active development and refinement. We're continuously expanding product functionality and features, and we're looking for a senior mobile developer to help drive that.
What you'll do
Own and evolve our native iOS and Android apps. Build new features, ship enhancements, and keep a mature codebase healthy.
Build and maintain rock‑solid Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity between the wearable and the apps: pairing, data capture from the device, background operation, reconnection logic, and graceful failure handling.
Own the mobile side of the data pipeline including reliably moving device data to our cloud, then read back and display the computed results the cloud returns. This includes sync, retries, and handling offline or poor‑connectivity scenarios so no health data is lost or corrupted.
Take features through the full lifecycle including design, build, test, App Store / Play Store release, and post‑launch monitoring and fixes.
Safeguard reliability, performance, battery efficiency, and data integrity end‑to‑end, which matter more here than in a typical app because we're handling health data.
Collaborate closely with firmware/hardware, backend/cloud, design, and QA.
Contribute to the planned evolution of our mobile architecture as the product scales.
What we're looking for
Relevant experience of professional mobile development and Go-Live.
Hands‑on experience across native iOS OR native Android.
Practical BLE / Core Bluetooth experience.
Strong REST / API integration and asynchronous data handling – you've built apps that move data to and from a cloud backend reliably, not just standalone or local‑only apps.
Proven end‑to‑end ownership: you've run go‑live yourself and handled the production issues that come after launch.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A portfolio and/or GitHub with links to your published apps is required with your application.
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Bonus points
Health/medical device domain experience
HealthKit / Google Fit or Health Connect integration
Awareness of health‑data privacy and security
The bar here is the kind of polished, data‑rich experience users expect from consumer health apps like Apple Health, Oura, or Garmin Connect.
Why join us
Work on a product that genuinely affects people's health, not another CRUD app.
A mature codebase with a lot of runway — real feature work ahead plus a chance to shape the architecture's next phase.
A small, senior, high‑ownership team — direct impact, short feedback loops, and the autonomy to own your work end‑to‑end.
Be part of a global deep‑tech company
To apply: Send your CV along with links to your published apps and/or GitHub. Applications without a portfolio won't be considered.
